Weekend of October 26th and 27th

Dear Church Family,
Are you enjoying the cool weather?  There is a lot happening this week; here are a few reminders…
Reformation Celebration – Saturday, from 4-8:00pm at Wally and Kaethe Mead’s home. Bring a side dish to share and a lawn chair so you can join us around the bonfire.
Sunday is Reformation Sunday, and we will be welcoming 8 new members into fellowship at Trinity!  Praise God for the Len and Pat Coffey, Art and Donna Ohlerking, Ron and Marlene Bonnett, and Wally and Evie Schauer!  Since we began worshiping in our new facility on the Sunday after Easter, God has blessed us with 11 new members.  Praise God for what He is doing at Trinity!
Blessings and I hope to see everyone this weekend,
Pastor Marc

Did you know?
Zechariah gives us the clearest Messianic prophecies in the entire Old Testament.  In fact, the prophecy of Zechariah is to the Old Testament what the book of Revelation is to the New Testament.  Here are some examples of Messianic prophecies from the book of Zechariah:
    • Christ as the Branch and God’s servant (3:8), fulfilled (John 15:1)

  • The Messiah as the Shepherd and the smitten Shepherd (9:16, 13:7), fulfilled (John 10:11, Mark 14:27)

  • Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on a colt (9:9), fulfilled (Luke 19:35-38)

  • Christ’s betrayal for 30 pieces of silver (11:12-13), fulfilled (Matthew 26:14-16)

  • Messiah’s pierced side, hands and feet (12:10), fulfilled (John 19:34-37)

  • Messiah-King will be a suffering servant (chapter 9), fulfilled (New Testament)

  • Christ will be rejected by Israel (chapter 11), fulfilled (Matthew 21:42-46)

  • The death of the Shepherd (chapter12-13), fulfilled (Matthew 27:45-50)

  • Messiah’s return on the Mount of Olives (14:3-8)

Blessings on your reading,
Pastor Marc
