Week 96 of the 2 Week Bible Reading Plan

Dear Church Family,
Here are the readings for this week:
Monday – 2 Timothy 3:1-4:22
Tuesday – Titus 1:1-16
Wednesday – Titus 2:1-15
Thursday – Titus 3:1-15
Friday – Philemon 1-25
Saturday – Hebrews 1:1-14
Key verse: Hebrew 1:1-3 “Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down  at the right hand of the Majesty on high…”
These 3 verses tell us all that we need to know about Jesus!  Who is He? He is the exact expression of God, possessing and revealing all that is divine. What has He done for us? He made purification for our sins through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead. Why should we read His Word? He upholds our very existence through the word of His power.  That’s pretty deep for a Monday morning!
Blessings on your reading,
Pastor Marc

Sunday, March 30th

Dear Church Family,
Just a friendly reminder that this Sunday is fellowship Sunday and our 1st Annual “Chili Cook-off!” All of you are invited to taste-test, vote for, and then consume mass quantities of your favorite chili.  The cook-off occurs after 2nd service (12:00ish.) Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing all of you at worship, Bible study, and lunch this Sunday.
Blessings,
Pastor Marc

Week 95 of the 2 Year Bible Reading Plan

Dear Church Family,
Here are the readings for this week;
Monday – 1 Timothy 3:1-16
Tuesday – 1 Timothy 4:1-16
Wednesday – 1 Timothy 5:1-25
Thursday – 1 Timothy 6:1-21
Friday – 2 Timothy 1:1-18
Saturday – 2 Timothy 2:1-26
Verse of the week; 2 Timothy 2:24-25 “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth.”
“Kind, patient, gentle… not quarrelsome, enduring evil.”  Although Paul is specifically addressing Timothy’s responsibilities as a pastor, these characteristics give us all something the aim for!  Remember, it is God who grants repentance and faith through the proclamation of His Word. However, He chooses and uses frail humans to proclaim His Word.  I pray “strengthen us, O Lord, that we may be instruments of you Word.  Amen.”
Blessings on your reading,
Pastor Marc

Week 94 of the 2 Year Bible Reading Plan

Dear Church Family,
Here are the readings for this week;
Monday – 1 Thessalonians 4:1-18
Tuesday – 1 Thessalonians 5:1-28
Wednesday – 2 Thessalonians 1:1-12
Thursday – 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3:18
Friday – 1 Timothy 1:20
Saturday – 1 Timothy 2:1-15
Key Verse; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
I encourage all of you with the words of the Apostle Paul inspired by the Holy Spirit; Jesus is coming back, and it could happen this very hour! Keep your chin up and remain steadfast in the Lord.  Remember, Jesus always keeps His promises.  If I hear the voice of an archangel and a really loud trumpet between now and next Sunday, I’ll be looking for you all in the clouds 🙂
Blessings on your reading,
Pastor Marc
